Life Guards Needed The Ellendale Park Board is looking for life guards for the 2015 summer season. If you are interested in this, please contact Mr. Hack.

Prom Flowers The last date that you can order prom flowers from Prairie Floral is March 14th. You may call to order at 349-4004.

Canned Food Drive = Pizza Party! DECA is sponsoring a school wide Canned Food Drive. Elementary students can bring in their canned goods to their classroom, and high school students can take theirs to their designated homeroom. The elementary classroom and high school homeroom with the most canned goods by noon on March 5th will win a PIZZA PARTY. All canned goods will be donated to the Ellendale Community Food Pantry.

Lost and Found There was a cell phone found by the MPR one night after pee wee wrestling practice. If you are missing a phone, please contact the office.

Drivers' Education Information

Requirements for students wishing to participate in the course:

    -The student must be 14 years of age before June 12, 2015.
    -Each participant must provide the school with a copy of a birth certificate to testify to their age. In most cases, this evidence is available at the school; however, all parents or participants should verify this with the main office.

Information regarding the class:

    -The classroom portion of Drivers’ Education will be Monday May 25th - Friday May 29th from 8:30 am-3:30 pm for a total of 30 classroom hours.
    -The student must be present for the classroom instruction in order to complete the Drivers’ Education course.
    -The behind-the-wheel portion will begin on June 1, 2015 and run for up to 4 weeks.
    -The goal is to complete both the classroom and behind-the- wheel portions of the course by July 1, 2015.
    -The cost for the course will be $110.00 for first-timers; $250.00 for repeat course and non-residents.
    -The class will have enough room for 30 students so the first 30 to pay will be guaranteed.

8th Grade Class Meeting The Class of 2019 (8th grade) will be having a class meeting on Thursday, March 5th in Mrs. Martins Room after school.

Volleyball Summer Team Camp There will be a VB skills camp held at EPS July 7-8 for girls entering grades 3-12. Registration sheets will be sent home with students entering grades 3-8. Anyone entering grades 9-12 that is interested should stop by the office for a registration sheet. Registration deadline is May 1st.

Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest The Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars is sponsoring the Young American Creative Patriotic Art Contest with the chance to win local and state prizes and a $10,000 national scholarship. This contest is for students grades 9-12. If interested, please see the office for a contest application and more information.
